Alma

The ALMA 38movable wall is a custom-designed product, that goes into production after a meeting with the client in order to satisfy its demands and after a careful study of the configuration of the place where it will be installed.

The following parts compose the ALMA 38 movable walls:

  • Horizontal guiding tracks:
    • The guiding tracks are top-hanged, fixated on concrete/steel “I” beams by means of a galvanized steel structure, with built-in suspension plates between the upper part of the track and the soffit with the help of adjustable threaded rods;
    • Aluminum alloy (6000 Series) guiding rails for the sliding of the panels, which are 90mm wide. The system can be monodirectional or multidirectional  – depending on the number of trolleys (single point or twin point panels) – allowing for multiple tracking and parking configurations;
    • Aluminum ledge profiles allow for an end stop for various types of false ceilings, hiding the fixation and tracking systems and helping create an acoustic barrier;
    • Further acoustic insulation can be provided, by means of filling the horizontal guiding tracks with rock wool.
  • Independent, movable panels, 100 mm wide in thickness, top-hanged, which slide smoothly and are operated into position manually. Its main features are:
    • Structural, hidden galvanized steel frame, designed to support the static and dynamic loads required;
    • Aluminum outer framework, with natural colour on the sides (vertical sections) and black on the top and bottom ends of the panel (horizontal sections). The vertical aluminum side sections of each panel are designed with a complementary geometry, which will work both as a wall constrainer as well as having the added benefit of improved vertical sound insulation;
    • Each panel is filled with rock wool in order to achieve the desired acoustic rating;
    • Traditional quick release mechanism, which requires manual operation of the top and bottom seals, by way of a removable operating handle. This mechanical sealing system allows the overhauling and overtaking of shortcomings of both the pavement and ceiling, providing at the same time the horizontal sound isolation. The sealing also allows the locking of the panel against the pavement;
    • Automatic sealing of the top and bottom of the panels, which is activated by means of an electrical switch. This mechanical sealing system allows the overhauling and overtaking of shortcomings of both the pavement and ceiling, providing at the same time the horizontal sound isolation. The sealing also allows the locking of the panel against the pavement;
    • Smooth sliding of the panels that move through the guiding rails hanging from trolleys, which can be fine-tuned in height. The whole system can be of two types:
      • monodirectional: single pointed panels, using one trolley;
      • multidirectional: twin point panels, using two trolleys.
    • Standard finishing of each wall in MFC melamine faced chipboard (10 mm thick), but other finishes can be applied upon request;
    • Each panel is filled with rock wool in order to achieve the desired acoustic rating;
    • The width of each panel can range from 700 mm to 1250 mm, with a maximum height of 7000 mm;
    • For the features presented here, these panels will have an average weight of 38/42/45/50/51/53 kg/m2.
  • Movable Telescopic panel, with an expandable sleeve, 100 mm wide in thickness, top-hanged, which slide smoothly and are operated into position manually. Its main features are:
  • Fixed Telescopic panel, with an expandable sleeve, 100 mm wide in thickness. Its main features are:
    • Manually operated mechanism, which expands at the top and bottom as well as at the side, by way of a removable operating handle. This system allows the telescopic sealing of the panel at the top, bottom and side (with a force 1100 N), thus ensuring the locking and sealing of the whole wall. At the same time, it provides horizontal and vertical sound isolation, as well as locking the panel against the pavement;
    • Automatic mechanism that expands at the top and bottom as well as at the side, which is activated by means of an electrical switch. This system allows the telescopic sealing of the panel at the top, bottom and side (with a force 1100 N), thus ensuring the locking and sealing of the whole wall. At the same time, it provides horizontal and vertical sound isolation, as well as locking the panel against the pavement;
    • Standard finishing of each wall in MFC melamine faced chipboard (10 mm thick), but other finishes can be applied upon request;

    • The width of the telescopic panel can range from 700 mm to 1250 mm, with a maximum height of 7000 mm;
    • For the features presented here, these panels will have an average weight of 38/42/45/50/51/53 kg/m2.
  • Jamb, fixed to a wall or column, with the following features:
    • The vertical aluminum section of the jamb is designed with a complementary geometry of that of the first panel, which will work both as a wall constrainer as well as having the added benefit of improved vertical sound insulation;
    • Further acoustic insulation can be provided, by means of filling with rock wool.
  • Independent, movable panel with inset pass door, 100 mm wide in thickness, top-hanged, which slides smoothly and is operated into position manually. Its main features are:
    • Single-leaf door, which can open both ways (left handed or right handed), including lock and handle;
    • Hidden, galvanized structural steel frame and outer framework made of aluminum, finished in a similar way to the adjacent panel;
    • Mechanical sealing system at the bottom, automatically activated when door is locked, which will work both as a panel constrainer as well as having the added benefit of improved sound insulation. Also, a security system insures that the door stays locked when operating the panels;
    • Each panel is filled with rock wool in order to achieve the desired acoustic rating;
    • The width of movable panel with integrated pass door can range from 1150 mm to 1350 mm, with a maximum height of 7000 mm;
  • Independent, movable panel with inset double leaf pass door, 100 mm wide in thickness, top-hanged, which slides smoothly and is operated into position manually. Its main features are:
    • Double-leaf door, which can open both ways (left handed or right handed), including lock and handle;
    • Hidden, galvanized structural steel frame and outer framework made of aluminum, finished in a similar way to the adjacent panel;
    • Mechanical sealing system at the bottom, automatically activated when door is locked, which will work both as a panel constrainer as well as having the added benefit of improved sound insulation. Also, a security system insures that the door stays locked when operating the panels;

    • The width of movable panel with integrated pass door can range from 1150 mm to 1350 mm, with a maximum height of 7000 mm;

For the features presented here, these panels will have an average weight of 55 kg/m2.

The ALMA 38movable wall has obtained the following sound rating:
